Green tea has been around for ages mainly in the Chinese culture and has been gaining popularity in other parts of the world quite rapidly because of the benefits it can offer specifically for weight-loss. The green tea plants used for matcha are shade-grown for three to four weeks before harvest; the stems and veins are removed during processing. The powdered form of matcha is consumed differently from tea leaves or tea bags, as it is suspended in a liquid, typically water or milk.

Consuming 3 to 5 cups a day seems to be the optimal amount to have you feeling your best while shedding off the extra weight.
